Rebecca Parten

 Rebecca is a limited licensed social worker and works as a Research Area Specialist Associate within Michigan Medicine's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  She currently works on research projects concerning the gynecologic and reproductive health of women with physical disabilities, and manages the social media presence for the Michigan Spinal Cord Injury System under the direction of principal investigators Denise Tate PhD and Claire Kalpakjian PhD. In the spring of 2013, Ms. Parten graduated with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan with a concentration in Community Organizing and Health. She was born with a rare genetic syndrome that affects every joint in her body as well as most of her muscles.
