Pain Rehabilitation Research

Chronic Pain Conditions are a leading cause of disability for adults. At the Pain Rehabilitation Interventions and Symptom Management (PRISM) Lab we develop and test rehabilitation-based interventions. Our research pulls from several areas including Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Traditional and Complementary Medicine and Physical Therapy among others. Our goal is to find methods that will help regular people be able to live comfortably and manage their pain condition.

Our studies have focused on various areas and ages. We have worked with Osteoarthritis of the knee and hip, Fatigue, and Chronic Low Back Pain. Our studies have targeted people from age 18 and up with many studies directly focusing on the older adult.
