Biography

Dr. DeLong is the manager of the Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Core lab. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Michigan in 1993, and worked for several years in industry. She then received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from Wake Forest University in 2001, and completed an NIH postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan in the Department of Biochemistry. Dr. DeLong has managed the hPSC Core lab since 2011, and as part of the Prechter research team, she oversees the production of the induced pluripotent stem cell lines and neural cells derived from patients with bipolar disorder.
