We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with The Encore Musical Theatre Company on their upcoming production of Next to Normal!
Next to Normal is a 2008 American rock musical. The story centers around a mother who struggles with worsening bipolar disorder and the effects that her illness and its management have had on her family. The musical also addresses the issues of grief, suicide, drug abuse, ethics in modern psychiatry and the underbelly of suburban life. Next to Normal won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Representatives from the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Program and the University of Michigan Frances and Kenneth Eisenberg and Family Depression Center will be holding talk-backs with the audience following the four Sunday matinee performances:
