Special exhibit for Mental Health Awareness Month – May 2020
This curated art exhibit will be centered around the power of art as a part of the process in healing and recovery with a focus on the bipolar diagnosis. Artists’ works will explore the concept of energy and the impact of creative expression on their journey with a bipolar diagnosis.
Collected Detroit will be exhibiting and selling pieces of art by artists who have experiences with mental illness or who were inspired by a loved one's mental health struggles. 25% of the proceeds of the sale will go to support the Prechter Bipolar Research Program and 25% will go to support the Metropolitan Museum of Design Detroit.
This is a collaboration between the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Program, the Metropolitan Museum of Design Detroit, and Collected Detroit art gallery.
