Biography
Hanjoo Kim joined the Prechter Program in 2022 as a research fellow. Before joining the University of Michigan, Hanjoo earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Penn State University and completed an APA-accredited psychology internship at the New Mexico VA/Southwest Consortium. Hanjoo’s primary research interests lie in understanding how underlying mechanisms of emotional disorders such as repetitive negative thoughts contribute to the development and maintenance of these conditions. Hanjoo is excited to work with the Prechter Team on research projects examining the longitudinal course of bipolar disorders. Outside of work, Hanjoo likes playing basketball, birdwatching, and drawing.
