Michael Yee is a senior research fellow working with Dr. Melvin McInnis, director of the Prechter Program. A native of Wayne County, Michigan, he was part of the inaugural class of biological engineers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was also a member of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). Michael began his career at the University of Michigan in 2008, and has since completed studies in biomedical engineering, medical school, and adult psychiatry residency.
Michael's research interests lie at the intersection of medicine, engineering, and mathematical modeling, specifically applications of machine learning to pressing problems in psychiatry. Current projects include investigation into the characteristic time scale of bipolar disorder, as well as defining data-driven mood states to enhance short-range prediction.
