Prechter Bipolar Research Retreat ended a successful year

On Thursday, December 17, 2015, the Prechter Bipolar Research Fund hosted its annual research retreat, a successful afternoon of research brainstorming. This year’s theme was “ID8 - 8 ideas.” The event was structured after a Five and Dime Methodology. This describes the format -- 5 slides & 10 minutes -- where the key drivers of a research project have an opportunity to highlight their work. An additional 10 minutes were allotted for discussion after every presentation. We included a guest presentation from colleagues connected to the Patient & Family Centered Care Committee (PFCC) and highlighted eight research projects by our own scientific investigators:

The goal for the annual research retreat is increased engagement and collaboration that will further research in bipolar disorder. The Prechter team is very enthusiastic to amplify and expand the projects around bipolar studies as well as begin new programs. The retreat is open to faculty, staff, donors, friends, and members of the community.
