COVID-19 questionnaires added to flagship Longitudinal Study of Bipolar Disorder

Prechter team integrates questions around the coronavirus pandemic into its research

In April 2020, our research team added a COVID-19 questionnaire to our flagship study, the Prechter Longitudinal Study of Bipolar Disorder. We also increased the frequency of some of our bimonthly assessments to better understand the impact the pandemic has had on our participants.

During the next months, we will gather experiences with COVID-19 and the quarantine and assess how this impacts, mood, sleep, and functioning on a weekly basis. This information will help us better understand the special needs of individuals with bipolar disorder during this crisis and help determine what services and supports should be put in place, now and in the future.

We'd like to express a special thanks to our partner participants for sharing their time and experiences with us.
