The Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Program is proud to contribute to research collaboration projects with other institutions. One of these is the BiAffect study which studies keystroke behavior to predict bipolar episodes. The study is run primarily through the University of Illinois at Chicago with collaboration from the Prechter Program's Director Melvin G. McInnis, M.D., FRCPsych, and researcher Kelly Ryan, Ph.D. The Guardian magazine recently published an article on using technology to aid in monitoring mental health and cited the BiAffect study as one of the examples.
