The Prechter Program is celebrating our Data Manager, Anastasia Yocum, Ph.D. Dr. Yocum was recently nominated for a University of Michigan Office of the Vice President of Research (OVPR) Research Data Management & Analysis Staff Recognition Award. This award honors staff members for important contributions to the University’s research mission through exceptional performance and by going beyond the ordinary fulfillment of position duties. Dr. Yocum was announced as the recipient for this award as she exceeded the requirements for the award. Prechter Program leadership had this to say about Dr. Yocum:
“As a faculty member, I can send a complex data request to Dr. Yocum and receive a perfectly curated dataset on the participants and measures that I requested within hours. I can’t say enough how critical this has been for me – it has enabled me to effectively include feasibility data in federal grant applications, put together university- and community- facing presentations, conduct data analysis and write manuscripts, and query data to identify areas of improvement for our team (e.g., missing data, interrater reliability).”
“Dr. Yocum’s talents span a wider range of skills and abilities- her computational and analytic abilities are excellent. She has been instrumental in many, if not most, of the recent papers from the Prechter program and tirelessly takes on tasks and duties that are above and beyond her job description. She has taken on the senior mentorship role in manuscripts for many trainees and early career faculty both at UM and
elsewhere. She has been instrumental in shepherding international collaborative datasets and performing the analyses for publication, recognized of course with authorships.”
