Biography

Aileen Prout received her BA from Boston College and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan.  Her clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of children with anxiety disorders including obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, separation anxiety disorder and specific phobias.

Aileen has been with Michigan Medicine since 1996, first as a research assistant, and then as a clinician for the past 11 years.  She has expertise in cognitive-behavior therapy, and provides training and supervision for social work fellows, child psychiatry fellows and social work interns.  Her research interests include the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder in children/adolescents/adults.
