Biography
I'm originally from Michigan, and have stayed here for my undergraduate, medical school, and now residency training. I really enjoy all things that have to do with the outdoors, particularly camping, hiking, and trail running. Due to this, I wanted to be in an area with lots of opportunities to continue to enjoy these activities. Ann Arbor has lots of areas to go hiking, and the Huron river has been perfect for a quick kayak! When deciding on a residency program I wanted to first and foremost be confident that when graduating from residency I would be a competent psychiatrist. In addition to checking this box, I was drawn in by the supportive nature of residents and faculty. Even though it's a large university it has a small program feel, and all of the attendings and other staff members are incredibly approachable, which was a large part of what I wanted in a residency program.
