Biography

Brenna McMahon received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the School of Social Work at the University of Michigan in 2015 with a focus on Interpersonal Practice. She completed her clinical internship at Michigan Medicine Ambulatory Psychiatry, spending time in both the Depression and Perinatal Psychiatry Clinics. Following graduation, Brenna spent over two years at Washtenaw County Community Mental Health. She initially work as a Mental Health Professional within the CARES team, with adults needing short-term mental health stabilization. She created and co-facilitated the DBT Skills group for this team and provided case management and short-term therapy. Brenna then worked as a Service Coordinator with the Crisis Team, liaising with area hospitals and law enforcement, as well as providing direct crisis intervention with clients. She is passionate about working with adults with mental health concerns, meeting clients where they are, and learning about new models of care to provide the highest level of service. Brenna is thrilled to be back at the Rachel Upjohn Building and to work with the Depression Team to serve adult clients with psychiatric concerns.
