The numbers are heartbreaking: suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people ages 15-19.

And, as if parents didn’t have enough to worry about, social media exposure and the threat of online bullying leaves many parents uncertain of how to protect their children and safeguard their well-being.

Join U-M clinical adolescent psychologists Dr. Polly Gipson and Dr. Cynthia Ewell Foster in a live web chat about how to support your teen, signs to watch for that could indicate your child may need help, and how to have important conversations with them about their own feelings as well their friends and peers.  The chat will include a live Q&A segment.

Participation is free and will be streamed live over our Facebook page(link is external), but sign up to receive a reminder email with the direct link!

Submit your questions: You may submit questions live during the chat through Facebook (via private message or by commenting on the video itself), or by emailing [email protected](link sends e-mail). Questions may also be submitted in advance by emailing [email protected](link sends e-mail).

Can’t participate live? The webchat will be available for viewing on our Facebook page, or sign up above to have a link emailed to view the chat later.
