Annual Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute Lecture--Tony Bass, PhD

Dr. Anthony Bass is a clinical psychologist/psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City. He sees adults, adolescents, couples and does supervisory consultation. He did his psychoanalytic training at New York University, completed his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Columbia University, and a masters degree at Harvard University. He is on the faculty of the New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, where he was formerly a chairperson of the relational track. In addition, he is on the faculty of the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, the Institute for Relational Psychoanalysis of Philadelphia, the National Institute for the Psychotherapies National Training Program, and the Stephen Mitchell Center for Relational Studies, at which he serves as President. He is the 2018 visiting professor at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute. He is the Joint Editor in Chief of Psychoanalytic Dialogues: The International Journal of Relational Perspectives, and a founding and current board director of The International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. He lectures, leads clinical workshops, seminars and study groups in psychoanalytic clinical theory throughout the United States and Europe.
