Grand Rounds: Building Toward Belonging: Implicit Bias Training

“Building Toward Belonging: Implicit Bias Training” meets the new guidelines of the mandatory LARA Implicit bias Training while also supporting the BASE strategic priority of Belonging and the Michigan Medicine strategic initiative of diversity, equity and inclusion.  Additionally, this course is AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ approved. Participants of this training will be able to claim CME credits through the Office of Continuing Medical Education & Lifelong Learning and MiCME. Participants who qualify can obtain their credit after the training. 

 

Learning Objectives:

    • Understand what implicit bias is and common instances of bias in health care.
    • Recognize the relationships between bias in health care and its impact on health care disparities.
    • Identify strategies for mitigating bias in healthcare delivery.

 

This training session is open to affiliates of the Department of Psychiatry.  Advanced sign-up is required for this trainingby August 29. Those preregistered will receive a joining link from OHEI after registrations are completed in early September.
