Biography

Katherine Wroughton graduated with a Masters in Social Work in 2009 from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. She has advanced, intensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has over ten years of experience in outpatient clinical social work, providing individual psychotherapy, group facilitation and training for clinicians. Early in her career, she gained experience providing counseling and legal advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence in a non-profit setting. Katherine currently works with the DBT team and the Crisis Support Clinic within the department.
