What is your name?
My name is Kristina Johnson, but I often go by Tina. I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but live have lived in Ohio for the greater portion of my life.
What interests you about ABCD?
I am really enjoying scheduling and doing parent portions of the ABCD visit. Previously I have worked in community mental health treating those who struggle with substance use. I find the topic of substance use and adolescence intriguing and it is a portion of my dissertation topic.
How long have you worked in the department and what does your work focus on?
I am the 4-year scheduler for the ABCD Study at the University of Michigan. I have worked here at the University of Michigan ABCD site for a year now.
What are your plans after ABCD?
I have a master’s in art therapy from Wayne State University, and I am working on my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Do you have any pets?
I have a fur baby Moose, a mixed breed dog who is just turning 8 years old this year.
What are your hobbies?
For fun, I snowboard in the winter and go for long motorcycle rides along Lake Erie in the summer. I have traveled extensively through Europe but still have some countries that are on my bucket list to see one day.
What's your favorite food or restaurant?
I love Sushi! It’s such a delicious dish and the different rolls people create are awesome!
