We are excited to announce Dr. Maureen Walton is one of the 2022 Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) Outstanding Mentorship Awardees.
Out of a competitive field of remarkable and generous research leaders, MICHR selects individuals who meet the highest standard for clinical and translational research mentorship. The pool of nominees is represented by a diverse group of U-M units, including Dentistry, Engineering, Ford School of Public Policy, Institute for Survey Research, Medicine, Public Health, and Social Work. Dr. Walton was honored at a ceremony on November 10th, 2022.
Dr. Walton’s mentor Dr. Frederic Blow received this award previously. Finally, several of Dr. Walton’s colleagues were involved with this nomination, including Drs. Erin Bonar, Billie Nahum-Shani, Lara Coughlin, Gregory Dalack, Frederic Blow, Allison Lin, and Patrick Carter, as well as Shirley Terlecki and Sonia Kamat.
