I was initially drawn to psychiatry through my desire to advocate for patients’ whose illnesses are not always physically apparent, and my enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams. Though I am new to Michigan, in the process of interviewing virtually, the warm welcome and camaraderie from and amongst the MM residents was palpable through the screen. My experience in residency has further reinforced this notion with immense support from my peers and the approachable nature of our attendings and staff. I am excited about the abundance of clinical resources and settings available to us, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be in Ann Arbor as well, where I’ve enjoyed greenery and good food in my free time.
