I grew up in Michigan and had a non-traditional route to medical school. I chose the University of Michigan for residency because an elective rotation and my interview day showcased a program consistent with my priorities: a challenging but formative intern year, Psychiatric Emergency Services experience, exposure to a variety of patient populations and clinical settings, and opportunities for sub-specialty training. I live in Lansing with my wife and three kids, but attend as many football and basketball games in Ann Arbor as I can!
