A diagnosis of breast cancer can be life-altering, both for the person receiving the diagnosis and for friends and family. In this one-hour webinar, Taubman Scholar Dr. Lynn Henry and Emerging Scholar Dr. Corey Speers will demystify the process of diagnosis and treatment and discuss the typical path that a patient diagnosed with breast cancer will walk. They will discuss screening, diagnosis, treatment options, and survivorship issues for women and men diagnosed with breast cancer. They will also discuss topics of ongoing research in breast cancer and highlight some of the practice changing work coming out of the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center and Taubman Institute. Audience participation is encouraged as a moderated discussion using questions submitted by participants will be a major focus of the webinar.
