Kassidy Jungles

Doctoral Student

Kassidy Jungles is a second year PhD student, Pharmacological Sciences Program Trainee (T32 PSTP), and a Rackham Merit Fellow in the Department of Pharmacology. Kassidy graduated with honors from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame in May 2020 with a BS in Biology and a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. During her undergraduate career, Kassidy worked in the Versagli Laboratory, where she examined the role of antioxidant enzymes in metastatic epithelial ovarian carcinoma. In the summer of 2019, Kassidy was a participant in the Summer Research Program (SROP) through the University of Michigan, where she worked in the Cohen Laboratory to study the effects of Hsp90 inhibitors in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. In the Speers Lab, Kassidy is working on projects aimed toward discovering therapeutic options for invasive forms of breast cancer, such as examining the role of CDK4/6 inhibitors and radiation therapy.
