Biography
Dr. Zhang was born and raised in Nanjing, China. She graduated from Nanjing Medical University and then completed her Ph.D. in Medical Imaging at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY. She is an active clinical and translational ultrasound researcher with over 15 years of experience on the development and application of state-of-art diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound technologies, including sonoelastography, contrast enhanced ultrasound, 3D volume flow imaging, photoacoustic imaging, imaging-guided HIFU and histotripsy. She has published multiple peer-reviewed articles, is a reviewer of eight scholarly journals, and is a funded primary investigator. She is a member of Alpha Eta Mu Beta (The Biomedical Engineering Honor Society), a member of Advisory Editorial Board of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (UMB) and Fellow of American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). Clinically, she enjoys working with referring physicians and patients closely to provide optimized patient care. She also likes using new technologies to benefit patients.
