Biography
Dr. Polanski grew up in metro-Detroit, before completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology. He attended medical school in Pennsylvania at Pennsylvania State University. He stayed at Penn State for Residency and served as Chief Resident. During his time there, he was involved in teaching including winning two resident teaching awards. Following completion of residency, Dr. Polanski continued his education at the University of Wisconsin where he completed his Abdominal and Intervention fellowship. He continued to focus in teaching, obtaining fellow educator of the year. His research interests during these years include intervention, particularly novel techniques for organ displacement prior to radiation therapy as well as biliary cancer imaging. After fellowship he returned to Michigan to continue his career in Abdominal Radiology with special interests in education.
