Outstanding Clinical Research Award

Rogel Cancer Center chooses Daniel Spratt, MD for inaugural award

The Abstract
Daniel Spratt, MD receives new Rogel Cancer Center award for outstanding clinical research

The Outstanding Clinical Research Award recognizes investigators for their outstanding clinical research contributions and positive impact on the overall culture of clinical research in the Rogel Cancer Center. The inaugural awardees are Tycel Phillips, MD, Daniel Spratt, MD, and Frank Worden, MD

These three were chosen from a field of about 15 nominees for their outstanding commitment to clinical research. They demonstrated an impressive volume of publications and podium presentations on clinical research, including interventional trials, with trial accruals exceeding 25 in the last two years.

In addition, Drs. Phillips, Spratt and Worden each served as institutional principal investigator on trials and were active participants in our Rogel quality assurance review process and service committees.

Clinical research requires a true commitment to create investigator-initiated trials, open studies from other sponsors and consistently enroll patients. Our new award comes with $5,000 for academic activities. We anticipate continuing to offer this award annually.
