Dr. Devan is a Pennsylvania native and received a BS in Mathematics at Penn State University. Following graduation, he taught high school math and worked in educational equity. After a few years he moved to Nashville, TN to pursue an MS in Medical Physics and a PhD in Imaging Science at Vanderbilt University. His dissertation research comprised developing and validating time-dependent diffusion MRI methods suitable for differentiating radiation necrosis from tumor. Dr. Devan is excited to enter the clinical side of physics and looks forward to working with the Radiation Oncology team at Michigan as a medical physics resident.
