Dr. Weihua Zhou obtained her PhD in 2012 from the Cancer Center of Sun Yat-Sen University, the best Cancer Institution in China. During her postdoctoral training in Dr. Yi Sun’s lab, she became interested in the field of ubiquitylation and neddylation, especially for the biological functions and regulations of the two neddylation E2s, UBE2M (UBC12) and UBE2F, in lung carcinogenesis. Dr. Zhou was then recruited to the Radiation Oncology Department faculty in 2018, working in Dr. Daniel Wahl’s lab. As a research investigator, she mainly focuses on the abnormal metabolism associating with radioresistance in glioblastoma (GBM).
