Stroke Program

Stroke Program faculty, in collaboration with faculty from the Sleep Program, investigate the relationship between sleep disorders and stroke and stroke outcome, and the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) in post-stroke patients. Multiple ongoing NIH-funded projects have studied or currently study the epidemiology of sleep apnea after stroke, health disparities related to sleep apnea after stroke, nocturnal rostral fluid shifts after stroke, and longitudinal changes in post-stroke SDB.
