Biography

Dr. Kesari is a PGY1 Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident at the University of Michigan. She is originally from the Philadelphia area and completed her undergraduate studies in Health and Societies at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated magna cum laude and received the honor of being on the Dean’s List her senior year. After graduating, she completed a year-long service fellowship through AmeriCorps VISTA, where she built and ran a non-profit organization, mentoring college students and helping underserved Philadelphians obtain clothing, food, stable housing, and employment. She then completed her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude and with honors in both Community Oral Health and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Kesari’s clinical interests include reconstruction after facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and head and neck oncology. She is also interested in joining initiatives centered around increasing access to health care for members of underserved communities. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing violin, and traveling.
