Biography
Austin is originally from Woodinville, Washington and pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining a B.A. in Biological Basis of Behavior with a minor in Chemistry. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and is Phi Beta Kappa. Moving back to the west coast, Austin completed medical school at Stanford University. His research interests have historically been broad, but now are primarily focused on factors associated with malpractice in the field of plastic surgery.
His hobbies outside of the hospital include fly fishing, scuba diving, lacrosse, board games, and cycling.
