Biography

Dr. Carrie Kubiak is an Integrated Plastic Surgery resident at Michigan Medicine. Born and raised near Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Kubiak received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in Nutritional Science and went on to graduate from Wayne State University Medical School before starting residency at University of Michigan in 2014. Dr. Kubiak devoted two years of academic development time in 2017-2019 to serve as the T32 Research Fellow in the Surgical Scientist Training Program. While pursuing peripheral nerve and Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface (RPNI) research in Dr. Paul Cederna’s Neuromuscular Lab, she won numerous regional, national and international research awards. Dr. Kubiak will be completing her surgical training with a microsurgery fellowship at Stanford University starting in 2022.
