Matching Trajectories with End-Goal Interests

SESSION OVERVIEW:
This session will give early career individuals the framework they need to work towards their own unique goals. We’ll begin this session with walking through the very first steps of setting a solid foundation for jump starting a career, including designing an academic plan, discussing the importance of disciplined writing, and how to find a good mentor/be a good mentee. Next, we’ll discuss the ins and outs of both clinical and academic promotion tracks and share effective strategies for navigating between career jumps. The afternoon session will be geared towards building skills as an educator, mentor, and recruiter. Finally, the day will finish with lessons on work-life integration, and lessons on how to incorporate wellness into demanding schedules.
This session will be keynoted by Dr. Rachel Kelz, Professor of Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

This event is for faculty enrolled in the Leadership Development program and is not open to the public.
