Jessica Billig is an integrated Plastic Surgery resident at the University of Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. She then received her medical degree from New York University. During her academic development time at the University of Michigan, she completed a two-year health policy and health services research fellowship, the National Clinician Scholars Program. She also received her Master of Science in Health and Healthcare Research. Jessica’s research interests include how best to measure quality in hand surgery, understanding value from the patient’s perspective for surgery, and improving access to hand surgical care. Jessica was chosen as the administrative chief resident for the 2021-2022 academic year. She will be starting her hand surgery fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis through the Department of Orthopedic Surgery in August 2022.
