Learn more about our recruitment opportunities for the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency program.

The Michigan Medicine Plastic Surgery Residency Training Program is a participant in the Electronic Residency Application Service [ERAS]. Please refer to the ERAS website to complete your application for our program. The deadline for accepting applications is listed in ERAS and is typically in October. 

The following information should be submitted through ERAS for our program: 

  • ERAS application form
  • Medical school transcript
  • Minimum of 3 letters of recommendation (Ideally, one or more letters from plastic surgeons)

In addition to the ERAS application, the U-M integrated plastic surgery residency program is participating in a new application process sponsored by American Council of Academic Plastic Surgeons (ACAPS), Plastic Surgery Common Application (PSCA). Please complete both ERAS and PSCA applications. Interview dates are January 9, 2023 and January 10, 2023. For the 2023-2024 application season, all interviews will be conducted virtually.

Ask Us Anything Webinar Series

The Department of Surgery hosted a series of webinars for those interested in becoming a surgical resident at Michigan Medicine. These webinars give applicants a chance to meet the chair, Dr. Justin B. Dimick, and to hear about our different programs for residents around the Michigan Promise, academic development time, mentorship and professional development.

Virtual Meet & Greet: Monday, September 12, 2022 at 8 - 9 p.m. (EST)

Dr. Cederna (Section of Plastic Surgery Chair) and Dr. Momoh (Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program Director) will be giving a brief overview of our program. Applicants will then join small breakout rooms where they can meet the rest of the plastic surgery faculty and residents, ask them any questions and discuss their experiences in our program.

Roundtable with Dr. Momoh and Dr. Sears: Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 8 - 9 p.m. (EST)

Dr. Momoh (Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program Director) and Dr. Sears (Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Associate Program Director) will be holding a Q & A session so applicants can hear about their thoughts and vision for the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program.
