Go Vote, Go Blue

A Message from Dr. Palapattu - Voting

With less than 2 months until the election in November, I encourage all of us—regardless of your political preference—to go vote. During this election cycle, we have the added challenge of navigating/working through the current pandemic both at work and at home. The right to vote is one of most fundamental rights as citizens of this country.

Below are two links that may be helpful to you in registering and casting your ballot on November 3rd. The first is a website managed by the University of Michigan with several helpful areas to direct you to information regarding this election and checking your voter registration status.

The next link is the Michigan Secretary of State website where you can register to vote and request an absentee ballot, which is especially helpful in a year when voting in-person is even more challenging than usual. Voting absentee allows us to vote and reduce our risk of exposure to COVID-19.

In addition, if you are interested in volunteering as an election inspector in the state of Michigan, here is the link to do so.
