As soon as your interview date is confirmed, you'll be asked to submit the names of six to eight research faculty members that you would like to meet with during the MSTP interview day.
Approximately three weeks before your interview date, you’ll receive an email with your individual MSTP interview schedule, campus map, list of current MSTP students and their research interests, and a list of fellow interviewees.
You should plan on arriving before 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Because about half of the applicants will have one last MSTP interview on Friday afternoon after the MD interviews wrap up, you should plan on scheduling your departing flight at 6:00 p.m. or later on Friday.
Applicants are asked to arrange flights and ground transportation to and from Ann Arbor. The MSTP reimburses transportation expenses up to $300. Lodging and meals are provided. Lodging arrangements are made by the MSTP office.
Here is the most convenient address to use when arranging ground transportation to and from Detroit Metro Airport: 1135 Catherine Street, Taubman Health Sciences Library, Ann Arbor.
Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is located about 25 miles east of Ann Arbor. Driving time is approximately 35-45 minutes. You are welcome to use your own transportation alternative such as Uber or Lyft, or use one of the following recommended local transportation options between Detroit Metro and Ann Arbor:
AirRide/Michigan Flyer: 734-707-7247. Most cost efficient but will drop off at Blake Transit Center in Ann Arbor, which is a few blocks from the Bell Tower Hotel.
Ann Arbor Airport Shuttle: 734-699-8500
Blue Car: 734-547-2222 (avg. $70 each way)
Golden Limousine: 734-668-8282
If you have not reached your $300 reimbursement limit, the MSTP will be happy to pay for your ground transportation. Please save your receipts.
