Cost of Attendance

More Details on Tuition & Fees

University of Michigan Medical School students' debt ranks among the lower third of all medical school graduates. Our Class of 2022 had an average medical school-only debt load upon graduation of $149,454, approximately $30,000 below the national average. (Sources: UMMS; AAMC)

Our low average debt reflects the Medical School’s commitment to keep tuition increases to a minimum, as well as our high level of scholarship support.
