9-9:30 a.m. Welcome and Introduction to SLW
9:30-11 a.m. Introduction to the Michigan Curriculum: Michelle M. Daniel, M.D., Assistant Dean for Curriculum will provide a detailed overview of the UMMS curriculum.
Current students will share their thoughts on the scientific and clinical trunk as well as the branches. There will be time for questions and answers, so check out the curriculum website - as well as the TedMed talk by Dr. Mangrulkar - to get up to speed.
11 a.m.-12 p.m. Experience a glimpse into M1 year by taking part in a patient presentation.
Noon-1 p.m. Lunch - Get to know your future classmates!
1-4 p.m. M1 Year and beyond: Get a feel for small group learning at UMMS with our Doctoring, Chief Concern, Ethics, Leadership, Global Health & Disparities, and OPCC faculty.
7-9 p.m. Strolling dinner sponsored by our medical students in their apartments. This is also a great time to check out some of the places you could consider living next year.
9 p.m. Explore the Ann Arbor nightlife with current medical students and future classmates
