Our School consistently ranks among the top institutions, most recently ranking #8 among primary care, #12 among research medical schools (U.S. News & World Report, 2015) and #11 in NIH funding. In 2013, Medical School researchers brought in grants and awards from the NIH and other sources totaling almost $470 million – nearly half of U-M’s total research spending.
