9-9:30 a.m. Welcome and Introduction to SLW
9:30 -11 a.m. Introduction to the Michigan Curriculum: Michelle M. Daniel, M.D., Assistant Dean for Curriculum will provide a detailed overview of the UMMS curriculum. You will also hear from the faculty who help make the scientific trunk and clinical branches a reality.
Current students will share their thoughts on all aspects of the curriculum as well. There will be time for questions and answers, so check out the curriculum website - as well as the TedMed talk by Dr. Mangrulkar - to get up to speed.
11 a.m. -12 p.m. Experience a glimpse into M1 year by taking part in a patient presentation.
Noon-1 p.m. Lunch - Get to know your future classmates!
1-4 p.m. M1 Year and beyond: Get a feel for small group learning at UMMS with our Doctoring, Chief Concern, Ethics, Leadership, Global Health & Disparities, and OPCC faculty.
7-9 p.m. Strolling dinner sponsored by our medical students in their apartments. This is also a great time to check out some of the places you could consider living next year.
9 p.m. Explore the Ann Arbor nightlife with current medical students and future classmates
