The medical student arm of the American Medical Association is an independent, democratic, policy-making body.
The AMA-MSS is dedicated to representing medical students, improving medical education, developing leadership and promoting activism for the health of America. The AMA promotes awareness on issues of public wellness, community service, ethics and health policy through projects, programs and activities. The AMA-MSS at the University of Michigan is involved in service projects and particularly active in policy making at the state and national levels.
