Doctors of Tomorrow

The University of Michigan Medical School’s Doctors of Tomorrow (DOT) outreach program exposes underrepresented minority students to careers in medicine, and provides them with the skillset needed to help them pursue this path.

Through Doctors of Tomorrow, M1 students pair up with 9th grade students at Cass Tech High School in Detroit for a yearlong mentorship that include site visits at both locations and a capstone project. In 2017, DoT expanded its mission to include two additional programs to support participants as they continue their journey: Doctors of Tomorrow Rising and Doctors of Tomorrow Succeed.
