Parents in Medicine (PiMS)

Interest:
Identity

Parents in Medical School (PiMS) is an inclusive community open to any and all medical students who identify as parents or caregivers including (but not limited to) moms and dads, stepmoms and stepdads, expecting parents, adoptive parents, foster parents, and individuals who desire to be parents while in medical school.

PiMS welcomes individuals of all family structures and gender/sexual identities. We aim to develop supportive relationships among parents and families in medical school in order to build a sense of togetherness, joy, and community. We also curate resources within the areas of housing, childcare, financial support, and navigating medical school planning and schedules. We also strive to establish a collective voice to advocate for policy changes and solutions to our very unique needs as both students and providers for our families.
