PMSIG focuses on creating mentorship relationships between current faculty/residents and medical students to open the door to shadowing opportunities and a give students a go-to person with questions. We also connect students, regardless of an ultimate interest in pathology as a career, with information on laboratory services in order to encourage appropriate utilization to improve overall patient care and use of health care resources. In addition to shadowing opportunities available (autopsy, frozen section, brain cutting), we also host several clinically relevant lunch talks.
