Tanner Caverly, MD, MPH, Receives VA Career Development Award

The five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to study how to deliver better patient-centered Lung Cancer Screening (LCS) may begin as early as January 2018

Frequently primary care physicians (PCPs) have less than five minutes to discuss LCS during appointments. Caverly's work will help PCPs address national guidelines to discuss LCS with eligible patients, while also providing a model for how decisions for interventions can be more easily personalized in the busy primary care setting.
