Dr. Miller teaches, performs research and practices orthopaedic surgery at the University of Michigan Medical School and the Ann Arbor VA. He is a Medical Scientist Training Program graduate of the University of California at San Francisco Medical School earning the MD degree and a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics. After medical school, he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan Medical School and a research fellowship in the Orthopaedic Research Laboratories at the University of Michigan Medical School. He practices general orthopaedics at the VA Hospital where he is the Chief of orthopaedic surgery. His research interests are in bone biology. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the Orthopaedic Research Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
