The Michigan Medicine Scleroderma Program is a multidisciplinary group of caregivers, scientists, and clinical researchers dedicated to advancing knowledge about scleroderma and related conditions. Our mission is to provide local, national, and international leadership in advancing the treatment of scleroderma and related conditions, through excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The goals of the Scleroderma Program are to develop effective therapies for scleroderma and its complications, and to research the causes and mechanisms of disease. It is only through enhanced understanding of the disease process that a cure will be possible.
CORE elements are:
- Clinical care with emphasis on cost-effective outpatient management
- Outreach to the community of patients and physicians
- Research into the cause, mechanisms and treatment
- Education of physicians and allied health professionals
