I am aiming to improve understanding imbalances of cellular and molecular interactions that lead to kidney and vascular disease initiation and progression. This knowledge is the basis for the identification of new targets for intervention. I am using multi-level interrogation of human kidney tissue to identify candidate signaling networks and cell interactions, which are then tested in tissue culture and animal model systems.

I believe that each person has unique strengths and weaknesses which help or limit their ability to achieve their goals. Each team member is supported in unique ways to allow them to achieve their personal goals.
